The Role
We’re looking for an experienced, strategic and creative Senior Brand & Marketing Manager to join Piglet in Bed for a maternity cover contract. Reporting directly to our CEO, you’ll take ownership of our brand direction and storytelling, ensuring our brand continues to grow and resonate with customers across the UK and US.
As a senior leader in the Brand & Marketing team, you’ll manage a large team, act as a brand ambassador, and deliver integrated campaigns, collaborations and launches that bring our collections to life across multiple channels.
Role: Senior Brand & Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover)
Hours: Full-time, 9 - 12 months fixed term contract
Salary: £60,000
Location: Hybrid working - with a minimum of 3 days/week in our London office
What you'll be getting up to
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and inspire the Brand & Marketing teams through weekly one-to-ones and team meetings.
- Shape priorities and manage workflow, ensuring targets, campaigns and initiatives are delivered on time.
- Responsible for managing the annual brand budget, ensuring spend is monitored and remains on track throughout the year.
Brand Strategy & Campaigns
- Develop and execute the annual brand strategy, aligned with company growth plans, spanning partnerships, PR, brand awareness marketing, social, loyalty, stores and sub-brands (including Wallow).
- Drive new product launches: shape the narrative, collaborate with Design, Buying and Commercial teams, and brief the wider marketing team to ensure seamless execution.
- Act as guardian of the brand calendar ensuring launches, press moments and campaigns align with broader business activity.
- Keep the customer at the heart of everything, ensuring launches and campaigns resonate with key audiences.
Partnerships & PR
- Identify and pitch brand partnerships, from deck creation and pitching through to roll-out and reporting.
- Oversee PR activity, including press release calendar, press events, and freelancer management for Wallow.
- Host and attend press launch events, ensuring everything from venue to guest list and creative invites is executed to a high standard.
Content & Creative
- Alongside the CEO, sign-off on photoshoot concepts and delivery, working closely with the Art Director on campaign themes.
- Sign off creative assets across ads, social, email, website and in-store activations.
- Support visual content creation and ad hoc copywriting for campaigns, PR and marketing collateral.
Social & Influencer Marketing
- Guide the organic social strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and Facebook, reviewing performance weekly and adapting strategy.
- Oversee influencer outreach and paid partnership activity, from contract negotiation to content approval and reporting.
- Keep up-to-date with social trends and competitor activity, sharing insight with the team.
Performance & Retention Marketing
- Manage and oversea the work of our Retention Marketing Manager, ensuring all activity is aligned with brand priorities
- Attend monthly CRM planning calls, provide feedback on weekly email campaigns and automated flows
- Collaborate with the Retention Marketing Manager to make strategic use of our new loyalty programme.
- Strong input into acquisition marketing, leading from a brand and creative perspective
- Collaborate with our performance marketing agency, briefing creative and approving copy and visual assets for campaigns.
- Attend monthly calls to review performance and discuss opportunities for improvement, brief the designer on new creative to trial, and draft compelling ad copy.
Ecommerce & Stores
- Partner with the Ecommerce team to influence homepage design, product launches and site experience improvements.
- Support with creative direction for seasonal in-store activations, windows and events alongside our Head of Retail.
About You
We’re looking for a confident and commercially minded brand leader with strong experience in retail, fashion, lifestyle or consumer branding. You’ll combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, able to craft high-level direction while ensuring flawless day-to-day execution.
You will bring:
- Proven experience developing and leading integrated brand strategies with measurable results
- A strong understanding of PR, partnerships, influencer marketing, content creation and campaign planning
- The leadership skills to manage and inspire a team, and the communication skills to collaborate cross-functionally
- Budget management experience with the ability to make smart, data-backed decisions
- A creative eye for brand storytelling and content that resonates with customers
