Brand Intern

Dreamt up in 2017 from our Founder Jess’ Mother’s garden shed in West Sussex, Piglet in Bed began with a simple idea: the best homes aren’t perfect, they’re personal. What started as a small collection of linen bedding has grown to include new fabrics and unmistakably ‘Piglet’ designs, complemented by our curated selection of sleepwear and homewares. But one thing hasn’t changed: our focus on the incredible team who make Piglet happen. As our team grows, we still like to keep the calendar full of socials, competitions, and chances to see each other. The Role
As an Brand Intern at Piglet in Bed, you'll work across brand communications, social media, influencer collaboration, content creation, and press relations. Whether you're supporting our Brand Marketing team with press office activities and photoshoots or influencer gifting and social media management, there's plenty to get involved with. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to gain brand and marketing experience within a fast-paced, purpose-led brand.
Role: Brand Intern
Hours: Full-time, 6 month fixed term contract with the potential to become permanent
Salary: £24,000
Location: Hybrid working - with a minimum of 4 days/week in our London office
What you'll be getting up to
Press & PR support
- You'll build and maintain our UK & US press lists using research tools and directories.
- You'll be the first point of contact for any press enquiries, responding to requests for product images, information, and assets.
- You'll track all press coverage, ensuring coverage is recorded, stored, and shared with the wider team.
- You'll manage our press gifting and product sample requests, including placing orders, updating trackers, and ensuring returns of sample loans.
- You'll monitor relevant online and print titles for brand coverage.
Photoshoot Assistance
- You'll support photoshoot preparation by packing, labelling, and transporting products and props.
- You'll assist with on-set duties, such as steaming garments, product setup, shoot schedules, ad-hoc tasks and resetting locations post-shoot.
Content & Journal
- You'll research and draft journal/blog posts for both UK and US sites, optimising content for SEO.
- You'll source, resize, and upload imagery using Canva, ensuring all content aligns well with platform specifications.
- You'll collaborate with our Brand Manager to maintain engaging and brand-consistent blog updates.
Influencer & Gifting
- You'll support influencer gifting campaigns, liaising with creators regarding product selection and logistics.
- You'll place influencer gifting orders, update trackers, and monitor posts/content delivery.
- You'll flag published content, track performance metrics (e.g. engagement, reach), and follow up with creators if posts are delayed.
- You'll conduct research to identify new creators and content opportunities across platforms.
- You'll assist with logging influencer gifting requests and maintaining records.
Social Media & Community Management
- You'll monitor and engage with our followers across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and other platforms.
- You'll maintain community engagement by liking, following and commenting, fostering conversations and brand relationships.
- You'll track and save user-generated content (UGC), requesting high-resolution files when appropriate.
- You'll support with social listening: identifying key trends, discovering potential creators, and monitoring competitor activity.
- You'll conduct end of day checks across all platforms to ensure no customer comments or mentions are missed.
Who we're looking for
- This is an administration-heavy role, you'll have exceptional organisational skills, strong computer literacy and a keen eye for detail.
- You'll have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- You'll have a creative mindset with awareness of social media trends and digital platforms.
- You'll be proactive, with an ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- You'll be familiar with Canva, social media platforms, and Microsoft/Google Office tools.
