What you'll be getting up to
As the Finance Admin Assistant, you will provide administrative support, assist in maintaining financial records, and ensure smooth day-to-day financial operations. Key responsibilities will include performing sales reconciliations for all of our payment platforms, along with assisting with general financial tasks to support the team.
Duties will include:
Sales Reconciliation:
- Perform regular reconciliations of sales data from our payment platform accounts to ensure transactions are accurately processed and recorded
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between sales records, bank statements, and platform reports
- Generate reports on transactions for senior finance team members
Accounts Payable & Receivable Support:
- Assist with processing invoices and vendor management
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and receipts
General Financial Administration:
- Maintain and organize financial files and documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Bank Reconciliations:
- Assist with the reconciliation of bank statements to company financial records to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies
Financial Data Entry & Reporting:
- Input financial data into accounting software and systems
Other Administrative Tasks:
- Assist in managing internal finance documentation, including contracts, receipts, and financial agreements.
- Respond to finance-related inquiries from internal departments.
- Support ad hoc financial projects and initiatives as required
Who we're looking for
- Proven experience (1-2 years) in a finance or administrative role, preferably with exposure to sales reconciliation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and financial software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with accounting software (Xero, or similar) is preferred
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
- Familiarity with PayPal and Shopify sales reporting and reconciliation is highly desirable
Hours & Location: This is a part time role of 20 hours per week. We are flexible regarding working pattern and location.
Salary: £25350 - 27300 full time equivalent. Approx £13,520 - £14,560 part time.
